Awami League does not want to lose control of Dhaka's highways. Because of this, the party has given a continuous program.

The ruling Awami League and its affiliated organizations will be active on the streets throughout October with meetings, rallies, sit-ins, processions and marches. Among these, Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League and Jubo League have announced their programs. Metropolitan South Awami League is also fixing its own program outside the program directed by the party center.

Awami League does not want to lose control of the streets of Dhaka in the face of a one-phase movement of various parties including BNP. At the same time, the party wants to create a mood for voting. Several central leaders of Awami League said that from these two goals, Awami League has taken the rally-march program by holding the parliamentary seat of Dhaka. This month, the ruling party is taking action to ensure large gatherings of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's two rallies in Dhaka.

According to Awami League party sources, the schedule of National Parliament elections may be announced at the beginning of next November - this was assumed by Awami League. But now the schedule may be pushed back—an idea being discussed within the group. If the schedule is delayed, then the Awami League is also planning to pull the October program and take it up to the schedule. However, Awami League's program may also change based on the type of program of BNP.

A central leader of Awami League told Prothom Alo on the condition of anonymity that usually the political parties go into the election mood before the schedule is announced. But this time, Awami League does not have the opportunity to prepare separately for the election due to the one-phase movement of the opposition party. That is why the ruling party is also clinging to the Rajpatha program like the opposition party. Even so, seat-based programs have been taken in Dhaka to bring some election flavor. The leader also said that it will increase the involvement of parliamentarians. The congregation will also be large.

Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League will hold a public meeting at the Kaola Civil Aviation ground near the airport on October 14. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be the chief guest. The rally was scheduled to be held on October 7 on the occasion of the partial inauguration of the third terminal of Shahjalal International Airport. But that day was postponed and now the rally is being held on October 14.

Sources of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League say that almost all of the five programs announced by the Metropolitan Awami League before the rally are preparatory to making the October 14 rally a success. Among them, a rally and procession took place in Gabtali on October 9. Metropolitan North Awami League held a representative meeting on October 10. Work meetings and processions were held in Turag, Uttara and Uttara Paschim Thana areas of Dhaka-18 Constituency on Wednesday.Today, Thursday, all the police stations under Dhaka-14, 15 and 16 constituencies are holding workshops and processions. On Friday, there will be a committee meeting and procession at the police station of Dhaka-11, 12 and 13 parliamentary constituencies. After that, the Prime Minister's rally will be held on October 14.

A number of Awami League leaders who are coordinating these programs said that the main responsibility of bringing people to the Prime Minister's rally lies with the metropolis north. Leaders and workers will also be brought from Metro South, Dhaka District and various districts of Dhaka Division. The rally will be the same as the rally in Dhaka on the day of the launch of the high-speed rail on September 2.

After that there is a padayatra program at Tejgaon Satrasta Mor area on October 20 under the initiative of Metro North Awami League. Padayatra will be held in Badda area on October 25. There is also a padayatra on 28th October. But the place is not fixed yet. There is a padayatra program in Uttara on October 31.

Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League office secretary William Praloy Samaddar told Prothom Alo that they will be on the streets throughout the month. The program will be extended if necessary.

Meanwhile, the Agargaon to Motijheel section of the metro rail is scheduled to be inaugurated on October 29. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the rally in Motijheel on this occasion. Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League has been given the responsibility of gathering the most people in this event. Metro North will also participate. Apart from this, five high-level committees have been formed under the leadership of central Awami League leaders to gather people from different districts under Dhaka division.

General Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League. Humayun Kabir told Prothom Alo that preparations are being made to gather a large number of people at the Prime Minister's rally on October 29. Apart from this, there will be a regular program of 'Development and Peace' rally. Even today there are rallies on Bangabandhu Avenue.

Awami League's subsidiary Jubo League has also announced a three-day program. Jubo League will hold sit-in program in every seat of Dhaka today. The organization will hold a youth rally on October 16 at Bangabandhu Avenue.
